So what is games ux anyway?
For those of you who might be new to the field, Games User Experience is a further development of the human-computer-interaction discipline whose aim is to humanize technology. At its core, games ux tries to see games through the eyes of the player and give them a voice in the development process.
Some of the main concerns of games UX are…
Accessibility: are the needs of different player populations addressed?
Usability: Do players know where to go and what to do in the game?
Engagement: How fun is the game? What keeps players coming back?
Pretzels and Playtesting brings together a wide range of talks from the games ux field. From research to design, from industry to academic, there is something for everyone.
